How can I sync the inventory of my products between Shopify and Walmart?

In your onboarding process, when you connect the Shopify and Walmart locations, it's important to note that Shopify will be the primary source of the inventory and will overwrite the Walmart inventory for the connected location.

Let's understand the few inventory sync cases here:

  1. Export/Import Products between two platforms:

Once the products are exported or imported using our system, the products are linked between the two platforms. In this scenario, if you manually update the inventory in Shopify, it will also update the inventory in Walmart. However, if you manually update the inventory in Walmart, it will not update the inventory in Shopify.

Please note that you have to enable the inventory sync settings for this to work.

  1. Automatic link between Shopify and Walmart based on SKUs:

If the products are linked between Shopify and Walmart based on SKUs, and you have enabled the inventory sync settings, since shopify is the primary source then if you manually update your inventory on Shopify, it will update the inventory in Walmart. However, if you manually update the inventory in Walmart, it will not update the inventory in Shopify.

  1. Update through Shopify and Walmart orders:

If there is a sale on Shopify, it will update the inventory of linked products in Walmart, and the same goes for Walmart to Shopify.
