Connect Your Clover Account Using an API Token

Log in to Your Clover Merchant Dashboard

  1. Log in to your Clover Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Click Settings.

  1. Select View All Settings.

  1. Under Business Operations, locate API Tokens.

  1. Open the API Tokens section.


Important Requirements

Before creating an API token:

  • Clover may ask you to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
  • Your account must have Employee or Admin access permissions.

Without the required permissions, you will not be able to create API tokens.


  1. Create a New API Token:

  • Click Create New Token.
  • Enable both Read and Write permissions for the following:
    • Customers
    • Employees
    • Inventory
    • Merchant
    • Orders
  • Enter a token name. Example: Wix Integration
  • Click Create Token.

  1. Copy the API Token:
  • After the token is created, the API token will be displayed.
  • Copy the token.
  • Paste it into the onboarding page of our app.

  1. Retrieve Your Merchant ID
  • The Merchant ID is the unique identifier for your Clover account.
  • Copy the Merchant ID from the URL of your Clover dashboard.

  • Paste it into the Merchant ID field in our app.

  1. Connect Your Clover Account
  • Click Connect. Once the connection is successful:

    • Choose your primary product source, either Wix or Clover, based on your requirements.
    • Configure your preferred settings.
    • Continue with the onboarding process.
